CSQ Eligibility for Unemployed
An Eligible Unemployed Worker is a person who has been unemployed for a period of not greater than 6 Months that would otherwise meet the requirements of an Eligible Worker.
Please check your eligibility and upload one (1) Eligibility Document and one (1) Right to work in Australia Document with your CSQ Declaration form
1. Confirm Your Previous Work Activities
Eligible Worker
To qualify as an eligible worker, you must be employed and substantially engaged in approved construction activities, including:
The Queensland Building and Construction Industry doing:
construction, significant renovations, or extensions of residential or commercial buildings
installation services for interiors of residential and commercial buildings such as electrical, plumbing, flooring, or other associated trades
work on a CSQ designated Major Project involving construction of infrastructure
The Queensland Civil Construction industry doing:
land development and site preparation for construction
civil infrastructure works
work on a CSQ-designated Major Project involving construction of infrastructure
2. Supply One CSQ Eligibility Document
Please upload one (1) of the following Eligibility Documents with your CSQ Declaration form:
A relevant current licence (QBCC or ESO)
View the complete list of approved licences.
Please include an email or letter from your previous employer to confirm that you were employed within the past 6 months.
Or
A Statutory Declaration
Download, complete and return the Statutory Declaration template.
This must include details of employment, the date you were last employed, and the role duties carried out within the Building and Construction Industry.
3. Supply One Right to Work in Australia Document
Please upload any one (1) of the following Identification Documents with your CSQ Declaration form:
A Green Medicare Card (current) or MyGov screenshot
Showing your name as printed on the card/ document and card numbers.
Or
A Current Australian or New Zealand Passport
Showing your name as printed on the card/ document and card numbers (up to 6 months from expiry).
Or
An Australian or New Zealand Full Birth Certificate or Extract
A photo is accepted where information is clear and legible (a commemorative birth certificate cannot be accepted).
Or
An Australian Citizenship Certificate
A photo is accepted where information is clear and legible.
Or
An Employer Letter for Visa Holders with Relevant Permission to Work and Study
Employer letters must:
Be provided on official company letterhead.
Be dated and signed by the employer or an authorised company representative.
Confirm the participant's right to work and undertake study in Australia.
Include the participant's visa number.
Confirm that the participant has been employed within the last six months in a role that meets the employed and substantially engaged requirements of an Eligible Worker.
