Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) play a crucial role in creating safer, healthier workplaces. This WorkSafe Approved five-day course gives newly elected HSRs the practical skills, legal understanding, and confidence to represent their workgroup effectively and drive positive safety outcomes.
Aligned with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (QLD) and WHS Regulations 2011 (QLD), the course covers everything you need to know to fulfil your duties - from identifying and managing risks to consulting with employers and workers on safety matters.
Under the legislation, employers must allow elected HSRs to complete this training within three months of election and cover all associated costs. Once qualified, HSRs are also entitled to attend an annual one-day refresher course to maintain and enhance their skills.
